Currently in his last year of Ph.D., Pierre-Louis Pichard is on a research mobility program until end of April 2025 within the materials laboratories of ESA-ESTEC (technical centre of the European Space Agency), located in the Netherlands. For 3 months, he will be evaluating the survivability of its material and structures in space environment, including thermal cycling in vacuum, UV irradiation and exposure to atomic oxygen. He is supervised by Dr. Ugo Lafont, Space Materials & Technology Specialist at ESA.
