Early April 2025, 3 members of the Bionics team, PhD Julien Deschamps, PhD Pierre-Louis Pichard, Prof. Antoine Le Duigou, presented their research work during the Seminar on Biomimetics and 4D Printing as powerful tools for ecodesign of novel generation of sustainable materials for space applications, hosted at ESA/ESTEC by Dr. Ugo Lafont (ESA). The fruitful discussions that followed enabled to consider further collaboration and applications of 4D printing in space. This was also the opportunity to discover the ESTEC premises and state-of-the-art laboratories.
